WelcomeIan Scott Massie is a painter and printmaker based in North Yorkshire, exhibiting atmospheric watercolour and mixed media paintings, screen prints and limited edition prints at The Gallery, Masham and at other galleries throughout England.
His work is rooted in portraying the spirit and personality of places. The View from Hackfall
This painting has been used as the new illustration for the information board at Hackfall Woods, a commission by the Woodland Trust. It shows the view from Hackfall including lower Wensleydale, Masham church, Roseberry Topping, Sutton Bank and and Vale of York. The original painting is now available at the Gallery.
