Fountains Abbey is one of the most complete and beautiful ruined monasteries in Britain. The abbey precincts connect with the 18th century water gardens and follies of Studley Royal. I've held exhibitions here in the past in the lovely surroundings of Fountains Hall but I was delighted when I was invited to stage an exhibition in the Abbey Mill. The mill dates back to the 12th century - the earliest Cistercian mill in Britain.
